From our Pianist: A move to Chicago
To the St. Columba congregation:
For nearly five years now I have been blessed to be your pianist. I have witnessed holidays and festivals, comings and goings of members, and been able to provide music for so many wonderful occasions. So it is incredibly bittersweet to announce that I will be leaving Seattle for Chicago at the end of this summer. Thank you for making me feel welcome, appreciated, and accepted into this church family. It has really been an honor and a privilege to make music here. In no other place have I felt so free to be a part of the worship service as I have here. A special thanks to Martin, Alissa, and the St. Columba Singers for allowing me to bring myself to this music and this service. I will greatly miss this place and all of you.
-Casey
Casey's last Sunday with us will be August 12th, and we plan to send him off in good St. Columba's style. His gifts will be sorely missed here, and we send hearty congrats to whichever lucky Chicago congregation manages to land him! We are working on recruiting a new accompanist, and will keep the congregation posted as the search develops. - Mother Alissa
