Taking Good Care: Pastoral Care Brainstorming on Sunday, November 18
How can we get more organized about caring for each other and not stretch any one or two people too thin? What kinds of needs and resources are there at St. Columba's for pastoral care? Who might need a phone call to check in, and how do we notice if we haven't seen someone in a while? These are good questions, and we'll be taking on some of them in a meeting on Sunday, November 18 at 11:40 a.m. Sign up here: https://forms.churchdesk.com/f/r1g4eF8sX
We're growing, as you may have noticed... That's great news! But with that come some good problems, like how we take care of each other as we're getting bigger. Sometimes when we're going through a tough time, we could really use some love from our church family. And St. Columba's really comes through with the networks of concern that have formed. But some new(ish) people might not be in the loop, and more people might want to get involved in sharing in the meaningful ministry of caring - everything from making food to people who have lost a spouse, to visiting people in the hospital, to just listening when people need to talk.
If you can help in big or small ways, or are interested in thinking up solutions to how we can care for each other and have fun doing it, join us on November 18 for a meeting to reflect on what pastoral care is and how we might get ourselves more organized. Questions? Speak with Martin Pommerenke or call him at 206-790-0600.
