A visit from St. Nicholas on Sunday, Dec. 10th during the 11am Service

A visit from St. Nicholas on Sunday, Dec. 10th during the 11am Service

We have it on good authority Sunday, Dec. 10th, sometime during our 11am worship service, we will have a visit from St. Nicholas. St. Nicholas' feast day is December 6th, and he is known to visit churches on the Sunday closest to that day. He often arrives with gifts of cookies and oranges for any children who wish to have them, and sticks around after the service for photos, as well.

St. Nicholas' arrival and identity is a mystery, and unlike Santa Claus (who is rumored to keep a list of Naughty and Nice) St. Nick brings gifts to children in honor of the Christ Child, whose image we see in every child. Nicholas can look different, from year to year, and we never know exactly when, or how, he will show up.
