The Rite of Reconciliation

Lent is a season where we focus on repentance and returning to God so at St. C's we offer this time as a reminder of the Rite of Reconciliation, or Confession. This is a sacramental rite of our church, designed for individuals who desire to experience in a ritual way both confession of sin and the pronouncement of God's forgiveness. You can read through the rite in both its forms in The Book of Common Prayer beginning on page 447, or click here to read it online.

Reconciliation/Confession is always available, to anyone who wishes to do it. Some people choose times such as Advent or Lent to make regular confessions, others do it according to felt need, and still other folks make a regular practice of this rite part of their habitual spiritual practice.

If you would like to schedule a time with a priest for the rite of Reconciliation, let us know by clicking here and filling out the form. One of our clergy will contact you to schedule a time.
