The Advent Season at St. Columba's

Advent is a special time of the church year. It is a time for quiet, for darkness, for waiting, and for expectation. Advent is a break from the busy hustle of the secular pre-Christmas season, and an opportunity to rest and wait for God.

There are many ways for you to come close to the season of Advent at St C's this year. Come to Sunday worship to experience how we build our Advent wreath together, and experience special moments like St. Nicholas' visititation on Dec 8th. Practice our Whole Church Advent Challenge as an individual or as a family. Come to our Advent Quiet Morning to spend time in silence, reflection, and prayer in community. Start your mornings with Morning Prayer,  offered every weekday during Advent. See below for dates and times, and click on any of the offerings to learn more:

Sunday Dec 1st: First Sunday of Advent, the start of our Whole Church Advent Challenge, an Advent practice for all of us.
