Sheltering and Praying: Using the 1979 BCP in the Face of Coronavirus

Join us on Zoom on Wednesday nights (starting April 1) at 7:30 p.m. - following Evening Prayer on Wednesdays on Zoom - for a short, 30-minute drop-in class on using the Book of Common Prayer at home.

Whether it's called "Shelter in Place" or "Stay Home / Stay Healthy," we're finding ourselves in unfamiliar territory. How do we worship together? The Book of Common Prayer provides many resources to join in prayer together as families using the same prayers being offered all around the world.

We'll answer questions about the BCP - any question you have! We'll explore parts of the BCP that are helpful during this difficult time. We'll talk about what it means to pray and how to pray. And we'll talk about high-tech resources you can use if you don't have a BCP at home.

Martin Pommerenke, St. Columba's Associate for Music and Liturgy, will lead the class. Email martin@stcolumbakent.org for a link or join us for Evening Prayer and stick around afterwards.

All are welcome from wherever you are, join the St. Columba's family for a time of learning - and praying.
