Fall Book Group: Tokens of Trust: An Introduction to Christian Belief

Every Sunday, September 7–28, 10:00–11:00 a.m.

What are the core beliefs central to Christian life? What have Christians historically said about God, creation, Jesus, and the church, and how do we understand these ideas in a world where they often seem irrelevant? Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury, ponders these questions and more in his book Tokens of Trust: An Introduction to Christian Belief.

This September, join Evan Hershman for a book club where we will read and discuss the book and think through the issues it raises. Evan is a lifelong member of Saint Columba’s who studied the New Testament at Yale and the Graduate Theological Union. All those interested are invited to join and read with us. No prior expertise in Bible or theology is necessary; the book is highly accessible.
