Palm Sunday: We Build our Hope Together

The Rev. Meghan Mullarkey

Text: Matthew 21:1-11

"I want to tell you that, who Jesus is and what he came to do, he came to fulfill God’s promise that, just like for our crowd today, our hope is never in vain.

Their hope and our hope on this day is beautiful, good, and right. Even if we know good Friday is coming.  Even though in our lives and at the cross we will mourn, even though people in our lives and actions in this world will break our hearts, even though hope looks foolish, as foolish as a king entering a procession on a donkey, as foolish as people grabbing tree branches, and taking off their own cloaks, just for a man on a donkey to come through and step on them."
