Until our prayer to God that, it would be on earth as it is in heaven, becomes a reality, it is part of our call as Christians to work to bring this reality about.  There are a lot of ways to participate in bringing the Kingdom of God to earth.  This can be volunteering with food bank, growing food in the just garden, simply forgiving your neighbor can be a radical act. 

Another way is to be an advocate for those who's rights are being taken away or threatened. As the Department of Education is weakened so are the rights of those with disabilities in schools, as the legal status of individuals are being questioned so is the safety of all immigrants, and as legal residents are being detained for legal protests so is the freedom for all to protest without fear, it is a time to come together and see how we at St. Columba's we want to act. 

Join Mother Meghan on April 2nd at 7pm for discussion over soup (after the 6pm Eucharist).  We will review our theory of change and then decide on actions we can do together as a group.  We need to begin, even if at first it seems small, to work towards the world God is calling us to create.
